The safety conditions every CageList host confirms before a listing goes live — and exactly what we do (and don't) verify.
What CageList does — and doesn't:we publish these standards and collect your acknowledgement before a listing goes live. We do not inspect, certify, or maintain your cage or equipment. You're confirming your own setup meets the standards below — treat that seriously, since it's the record guests (and CageList) rely on.
When you submit a listing, the final step asks you to confirm the standards below. They're the baseline for a safe, bookable cage. This page is the full text of what you're agreeing to — keep it handy, and re-confirm in your listing whenever your setup changes.
Cage & Facility Safety
Basic conditions every listing needs, machine or not
- Netting is secured and free of tears
- A clear walking path in and around the cage
- Helmets are required for live pitching
- A stocked first-aid kit is available
- Electrical cords are secured and out of foot traffic
- No metal cleats on turf or synthetic surfaces (where applicable)
Pitching Machine Safety
Applies when your cage includes a pitching machine
- The pitching machine is inspected and maintained before rentals
- Guests can power the machine off without reaching near the wheels or feeder
- A remote, foot pedal, or clearly reachable external switch can stop the machine
- The emergency shutoff location is documented in your check-in instructions
- Startup / shutdown instructions are visible to guests in the cage or check-in materials
Your acknowledgement
At submission you confirm the items above are accurate. That creates a dated record tied to your exact setup. If you later change your cage or pitching machine configuration, you'll re-confirm so the record on file always matches what guests will actually use.
